Batanes State College officially commenced the academic year with its annual Freshman Walk earlier today, where returning students, faculty, and administrative personnel lined the campus gates and quadrangle to greet the incoming freshmen with a warm and energetic welcome. The event also served as a vibrant kick-off for the College’s observance of ASEAN Month, themed “ASEAN 2025: INCLUSIVITY AND SUSTAINABILITY; Buwan ng ASEAN: Sama-sama Sa Pag-unlad,” demonstrating the institution’s support for the international initiative of its member countries.
To celebrate, College employees proudly showcased their solidarity by wearing ASEAN-inspired attire, with many wearing Filipiniana, Barong, and Inaynap. The program also featured a lively dance to “Breathtaking Batanes” from the employees, where students were invited to participate. Through these activities, the College affirmed its support for a truly shared and inclusive progress, reinforcing its commitment to an ASEAN framework focused on regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
