True to its mandate as a higher education institution to help solve problems in the locality, Batanes State College pushed the green light to aid the Department of Trade and Industry (Batanes) in conducting a province-wide study that will later benefit the consuming public of Batanes. The research team is composed of three faculty members of BSC headed by Dr. Ferdinand Bulusan. Other members include Miss Daryl Alva Batin and Miss Xyna Vinalay.
Today at the Institutional Quality Assurance Monitoring and Evaluation (IQuaME) Room of BSC, Dr. Bulusan presented the capsule proposal before the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, Hon. Juliet Cataluña and Hon. Anastacia Viola. Also present in the proposal presentation were OIC Provincial Director Ellerie Mila G. Ramel, Miss Meryll Hortiz, Provincial Agriculturist Cesar Hostallero, and BSC President Djovi Durante.
Refinement and presentation of the proposal in various fora are underway. It is hoped that the study will kickstart either at the tail-end of this year or early next year.
BSC continues to pledge its expertise on research and other technical know-how for a better quality of life in the province of Batanes.
