Batanes State College (BSC) conducted its Students’ Re-Orientation Program on January 16, 2026, welcoming students from its five (5) academic departments as the second semester officially began.
College President, Dr. Djovi R. Durante, addressed the students and shared a teaser video highlighting the humble beginnings of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis. The presentation emphasized the value of perseverance, dedication, and dreaming big despite life’s challenges. Dr. Durante reinforced the message by quoting Eleanor Roosevelt, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”, encouraging students to work together in pursuing their dreams at BSC.
Representatives from various College offices introduced the organizational structure of the institution. While, units under the Student Services Office also presented their respective programs and services to familiarize students with available support services.
The activity aimed to re-orient students on institutional policies, academic expectations, and student services to help them transition smoothly into the new semester. College Vice President, Dr. Angelita H. Vargas, emphasized the value of “kamañidungan”, highlighting that students are supported by a united academic community of faculty and staff committed to every student’s success.
