Students from the BS Agriculture and BS Tourism Management programs of Batanes State College (BSC) actively participated in the Hands-on Agricultural Learning Program implemented by the Department of Agriculture – Batanes Experiment Station (DA-BES).
Through supervised field activities, students engaged in actual land preparation and planting—bridging classroom theories with real-world agricultural practices. This immersive experience provided them with meaningful exposure to farm operations.
The activity enhanced students’ practical skills, improved their technical competence, and deepened their appreciation of agriculture’s vital role in ensuring food security. This equipped them with valuable experience in preparation for their future careers in agriculture and related industries.
BSC extends its sincere appreciation to DA-BES for this invaluable partnership and for providing our students with a transformative learning opportunity that truly brought education beyond the classroom.
