Twenty-one employees from Batanes State College (BSC) recently participated in a training program organized by the Commission on Audit Regional Office 02. The training, held from September 10 to 12, 2024, covered essential topics, including the Cash Management and Control System (CMCS), Property and Supply Management System (PSMS), and the Laws and Regulations on Government Expenditure (LARGE).
BSC President Djovi Durante highlighted that the professional development of the staff is underpinned by the college’s mission, emphasizing a strong commitment to excellence and accountability in public service.
The CMCS training is particularly crucial, as it provides a framework for effectively managing financial transactions within government entities. Meanwhile, the PSMS training focuses on the responsible handling of government property and supplies, covering their acquisition, usage, maintenance, and disposal. Participants also gained insights into the LARGE, which outlines the legal stipulations guiding public spending.
Following the completion of the intensive three-day program, the employees are expected to enhance their operational efficiency within their respective roles and contribute to improving governance at BSC.
The training sessions were participated by employees from various national government agencies and local government units in the province.
