Batanes State College (BSC) has been commended in the recent release of the AD Scientific Index 2026 for achieving Rank 121 among 314 public and private state colleges and universities in the Philippines. This noteworthy accomplishment reflects its continued commitment to academic excellence, research productivity, and institutional development. Furthermore, BSC has been recognized as one of the twenty-one (21) colleges/universities included in the Young Universities category in the Philippines, highlighting its steady growth and emerging contributions to higher education and research.

Recognition was also given to Assistant Professor I Mr. Warlito M. Tomas, Jr. of the Agriculture Department for achieving rank 88 in the top 100 Scientist of AD Scientific Index 2026 excelling in the fields of Agriculture and Forestry / Animal Science. Additionally, Assistant Professor IV Dr. Jane S. Castillo, Chairperson for Teacher Education Department, was also included in the AD Scientific Index this year.

This recognition is based on the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index, an internationally recognized ranking system that evaluates universities and researchers based on their scientific performance, research productivity, and citation impact.

BSC, headed by the College President, Dr. Djovi R. Durante, extends its sincere congratulations to Asst.
