Batanes State College (BSC) participated in the 2nd Quality Assurance Summit and Conferment Ceremony organized by the National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies, Inc. (NNQAA), held on March 5–7, 2026 at The Heritage Hotel Manila.

During the ceremony, the College’s academic programs were formally conferred Certificates of Accreditation by NNQAA, upon the recommendation of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP). This recognition affirms BSC’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence and to the continuous delivery of accessible and high-quality education.

Notably, 100% of the academic programs of Batanes State College are accredited, with programs granted Level II and Level III (Re-accredited) status, demonstrating the institution’s strong adherence to quality assurance standards in higher education.

Representing the College during the conferment ceremony were Dr. Michel A. Cabrera, Director for Instruction; Mr. Kurt G. Hostallero, Quality Assurance Officer; and Ms. Lucille V. Telmo, College Secretary and representing the College President who received the Certificates of Accreditation on behalf of BSC.

The College likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to College President Dr. Djovi R. Durante for his visionary leadership, and to the dedicated faculty members and administrative staff for their unwavering commitment to serving the Ivatan community and empowering the youth through transformative and quality education.

This milestone stands as a testament to the collective dedication of the entire BSC academic community in upholding quality assurance and ensuring that its academic programs meet national standards of excellence. Through these efforts, Batanes State College continues to strengthen its mission of excellence in instruction, research, extension, and professional development.
