Batanes State College (BSC), led by the College President, Dr. Djovi R. Durante, duly represented by the College Vice President, Dr. Angelita H. Vargas, joins the nation in the celebration of National Women’s Month 2026 held today, March 02, 2026, at the BSC quadrangle.
At BSC, gender equality is not merely an advocacy—it is a sustained commitment translated into concrete actions and responsive programs.
Through its Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives, BSC plays a vital role in shaping future leaders who embody the values of equality, inclusivity, and service. The College actively promotes equal opportunities in leadership, academic advancement, research, extension services, and student engagement, ensuring that every member of the academic community is empowered to thrive.
As an academic institution, BSC recognizes that empowering women strengthens families, uplifts communities, and advances society as a whole. By supporting and promoting women in leadership, the College helps build stronger communities, contributes to national development, and fosters a more united ASEAN.
BSC firmly believes that when women in leadership are empowered, institutions grow stronger—and when institutions champion equality, the nation moves forward.
