Batanes State College (BSC) led by College President Djovi R. Durante joined in celebration of the annual Elderly Filipino Week (EFW) pursuant to Proclamation No. 470, signed by former President Fidel V. Ramos on September 26, 1994. This national event runs from October 1-7 every year to recognize the importance and invaluable contributions of our dear senior citizens to the country. The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) successfully launched this year’s annual celebration with a theme: “Embracing Age: Living a Life with Dignity and Purpose”.

As part of the observance of this year’s celebration, select senior citizens were provided with food packs.

This initiative serves as a tribute to our beloved Filipino senior citizens – an expression of our deep respect, care, and appreciation for them.
