Batanes State College, through its Research Development, Extension and Training (RDET) office, conducted its first-ever Student Research Congress with the theme, “Research and Innovation: Driving Change for a Sustainable Future” held on March 25, 2025 at the BSC Amphitheater, providing an avenue for the BSC students to share and discuss their research and studies.
136 students from various departments presented 9 completed studies and 28 research proposals, categorized into Science, Technology and Innovation; Education, Social Science and Tourism; and Agriculture and Product Development.
A panel of esteemed experts, including faculty from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), representatives from the Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) Batanes, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Batanes, and the College, provided invaluable insights and feedback. The panel comprised:
