Batanes State College (BSC) provided a 2-day comprehensive In-service Training (INSET) for BSC Faculty members and part-time instructors on November 24-25, 2025 at the BSC Conference Hall.
The College President, Dr. Djovi R. Durante, represented by the College VP, Dr. Angelita H. Vargas, gave inspirational message, noting that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a powerful tool, but it is the teachers’ wisdom, compassion, and creativity that make it meaningful. This training supports faculty in preparing students for a future that requires adaptability, critical thinking, and technological fluency.
The esteemed resource speaker is Mr. Jay-Cen T. Amanonce, PhD, who discussed the topic “AI-Assisted Syllabi Writing and Instructional Material Development”. He simplified and explained the art of AI prompting. Workshops were also conducted focusing on syllabus creation and the enhancement of instructional materials with the assistance of AI, enabling faculty members to improve their teaching resources and strategies efficiently.
As technology evolves, AI is becoming essential for making our work more efficient and creative through the use of effective AI prompts.
