Batanes State College (BSC) and the Department of Agriculture – Batanes Experiment Station (DA-BES) held an exploratory meeting earlier today at the office of the College President to discuss a prospective partnership in the Island Ventures for Agri-tech Advancement Network – Technology Business Incubation (IVATAN-TBI) project.

Discussions focused on possible collaborations between BSC’s Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) and DA-BES’ IVATAN-TBI. This partnership aims to leverage technologies developed by BSC students, faculty researchers, and community stakeholders. Furthermore, the parties explored avenues for collaboration on intellectual property assets, their application, technology commercialization, promotion, and incubation processes.

Key officials representing BSC at the meeting included Ms. Romina Katrina Bernardo, Director of Administrative and Finance Services; Asst. Prof. Leobert Banzali, Director of Research, Development, and Extension (RDET); and Ms. Xina V. Vinalay, Chairperson of the Agriculture Department.
