Batanes State College (BSC) celebrated the 59th ASEAN Anniversary on 24 August 2026 through a simple yet meaningful program held during the College’s Flag Raising Ceremony.

Anchored on the theme, “ASEAN Connect: Celebrating Unity in Diversity through Education, Culture, and Innovation,” the celebration highlighted the importance of building connections and strengthening unity among ASEAN nations.

As part of the celebration, the College held the Best ASEAN Attire Competition, recognizing employees who showcased the rich cultural heritage of ASEAN countries through their colorful and meaningful traditional-inspired attire. The activity brought joy and vibrancy to the celebration while highlighting the diverse cultures, identities, and traditions that make ASEAN truly unique.

More than a celebration of culture, the activity fostered a deeper appreciation among the BSC community for cultural awareness, innovation, cooperation, and unity. It reminded everyone that our diversity is a source of strength and that, through education, culture, and innovation, we can build meaningful connections and contribute to a stronger and more united ASEAN community.

As BSC joins the ASEAN family in celebrating its shared heritage and aspirations, may we continue to connect, collaborate, and celebrate our diversity toward a brighter and more inclusive future.
