The institute of environmental governance in batanes state college

The Institute of Environmental governance Program ir EIG is the strategic response to the ever-increasing demand for the capacity building of LGUs. This LoGoTRI-Philnet accredited program with four stars rating caters  to two levels. Level one (I) shall be designed to serve the needs of Barangay Officials and Level Two (II) shall caters to the needs of Municippal, City and provincial Officials. Both levels wil be housed in partner Academic Institutions.
In March 12, 2020, the IEG in BSC was established and attended by representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Tanggol Kalikasan, Batanes State College (BSC) launched its Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG), a training program for local government officials.
Before the unveiling activity, Ms. Doris Amanady of Tanggol Kalikasan talked about the organization and its program. It was followed by a presentation prepared by Ms. Elena Derige on the IEG program and the Environmental Justice Sector Reform in the Philippines (EJSRP) Phase II Project of the United States Department of International Narcotics Law Enforcement and the United States Department of the Interior – International Technical Assistance Program.
Messages of unity was given by Tanggol Kalikasan President Ramon Grimaldo, BSC President Dr. Alfonso Simon and DILG Representative Tedrick Eivanz Danao.
