Batanes State College (BSC) proudly clinches a rank in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026.
This achievement is especially meaningful as it marks BSC’s first participation in the WURI rankings. Out of the seven (7) entries submitted, five (5) successfully placed in the Top 100 in the World of their respective categories, a testament to the College’s growing global presence in innovation and transformative education.
The recognized entries are:
- Rank 11 – University Brand and Reputation (B8)
- Rank 16 – Visionary Leadership (B1)
- Rank 67 – Social Impact through Knowledge Transfer (C5)
- Rank 68 – Financial Impact-Driven Technology Transfer (C8)
- Rank 80 – Crisis Management (A5)
BSC extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Julieta M. Paras, Regional Director, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office II for her invaluable guidance and support in introducing the WURI thru the iRaise: Internationalization Workshop of CHED, opening new opportunities for international recognition and academic excellence. To Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag, Vice President for Internationalization of Panpacific University, for generously sharing his expertise and mentorship throughout the WURI application process. His guidance greatly contributed to this remarkable accomplishment. Lastly, BSC extends its appreciation to its faculty and staff whose unwavering dedication, countless hours of hard work, and selfless commitment made possible the creation of an exceptional nomination dossier worthy of international recognition.
This milestone reflects the hard work, dedication, and collaborative efforts of the BSC faculty, staff, and administration under the leadership of Dr. Djovi Regala Durante. More importantly, it highlights BSC’s steadfast commitment to innovation, excellence, and global competitiveness in higher education.
