Batanes State College (BSC) President Dr. Djovi R. Durante, graced the inaugural launch of the Island Venture for Agri-tech Advancement Network – Technology Business Incubator (IVATAN-TBI) on February 24, 2026.

The IVATAN – TBI is an innovative partnership of BSC , the Department of Agriculture – Batanes Experiment Station and other partner institutions. This event represents a shared commitment to advancing business incubation and sustainable development in Batanes.

As a dynamic innovation hub, IVATAN-TBI is dedicated to empowering local entrepreneurs and innovators, especially in the agriculture sector. It is designed to foster innovation, support business growth, and equip entrepreneurs with the tools and skills needed to develop new products through technology integration. Ultimately, this initiative seeks to provide a platform for BSC students and faculty members in advancing their research capabilities.

This milestone marks the beginning of a promising journey—one that reflects the College’s vision of excellence in transforming lives and advancing community development.
