The Batanes State College (BSC) Board of Trustees (BOT) conducted board meeting yesterday, September 10, 2025, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) HEDC building Executive Lounge, C.P Garcia, Diliman, Quezon City, said meeting was presided by CHED Commissioner and BOT Chairperson, Commissioner Marita R. Canapi, EdD.

All thirty (30) agenda items were reviewed, approved and confirmed by the Board. Additionally, the oathtaking of Hon. Alfred Vincent D. Baccay, Student- Trustee and Hon. Kurt G. Hostallero, Alumni-Trustee, as members of the board was conducted during the meeting. The BSC family extends our congratulations to both.

The following members were present during the meeting: the BOT Chairperson, Comm. Canapi; BSC President Djovi R. Durante, Vice Chairperson of BSC-BOT; RD Dionisio R. Ledres, Jr., Regional Director for Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) R02; Hon. Warlito M. Tomas, Jr., Faculty-Trustee; Hon. Kurt G. Hostallero, Alumni-Trustee; Hon. Alfred Vincent D. Baccay, Student- Trustee; and Cong. Jude A. Acidre, new Committee Chairperson for Higher and Technical Education, represented by Atty. Cesar Ruperto P. Ong.
