As part of our 21st Founding Anniversary celebration, the Batanes State College (BSC) community came together for a solemn Eucharistic Mass and a Unity Lunch on August 7, 2025.
The mass, held at the BSC Amphitheater, was celebrated by Rev. Father Ronaldo “Zenki” Manabat. During his homily, he delivered a powerful message to the entire community, urging them to “not settle for mediocrity, as it is the enemy of intelligence.” Father Manabat emphasized the college’s role as a beacon of hope and encouraged the institution to continue fostering a culture of truth, excellence, and compassion.
Following the mass, the festivities continued with a Unity Lunch at the BSC Conference Hall. The community shared a traditional vunung feast, which included yellow rice, igado, steak, and uved. The gathering served as a meaningful opportunity for the BSC community to strengthen their bonds and reaffirm their collective commitment to faith, excellence, and service.
