In a unique celebration of Valentine’s Day, Batanes State College held the year’s first-semester general assembly on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the BSC Conference Hall.

College President Djovi R. Durante highlighted during his welcome message the importance of the Strategic Plan, emphasizing its importance as a guide to the College’s current position and the steps needed to achieve the shared vision for BSC and its stakeholders.

Key topics discussed during the assembly included updates on the FY 2023 Performance-based Bonus, Presentation of the 2024 Accomplishment Report, Faculty and Student Updates, and other matters such as the Student Research Congress (March 25), Strengthening Internationalization efforts, and ISO Certification.

An open forum was conducted afterward, allowing for a thorough discussion of various issues, and providing a platform for employees to voice their concerns and suggestions, all of which were addressed by the top management.

In closing, Ms. Doreen C. Castillo, Director for College Business Affairs, wrapped up the assembly by reinforcing BSC’s tagline: “The work we do today ensures that BSC continues to thrive, providing opportunities to our dear students, serving our community, and securing a better future for all.”
