Determined to escalate the delivery of quality education, Batanes State College is gearing up its five academic programs for another salvo, this time, for level 2 accreditation namely Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Bachelor in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and two academic programs for level 1 namely Bachelor in Secondary Education and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management under the auspices of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) scheduled on November 4-9, 2019
During the survey visit, areas evaluated include the delivery of the college’s vision, mission, goals and objectives, faculty, curriculum and instruction, student and support services, research, extension, library services, physical plant and facilities, and laboratories.
Led by Dr. Ricky G. Abalena III, the accrediting team for the survey visit was composed of eleven (11) all of whom came from variegated accredited universities and colleges in the Philippines.
Engr. Alfonso R. Simon, Ph.D., acknowledged the efforts of the former President, Dr. Edwin Macaballug, who took the initiative to submit the programs for accreditation during his time.
“We will take off where he left off as we are committed to further our accreditation to higher levels” Simon stressed.
