DURING THE BOARD of Trustees (BOT) meeting last January, College President Dr. Edwin F. Macaballug expressed his intent to seek for another four-year term as the head of this institution. Notably, Macaballug’s first term of presidency is expiring on July this year.

In his letter addressed to the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) chairperson Dr. Patricia Licuanan, Dr. Macaballug indicated that he wants to continue serving BSC because he believes that his mission to “raise” Batanes has just begun.

“Marami pa akong plano para sa College at sana ay mapagbigyan pa akong magsilbi,” the second president of BSC mentioned in one of the general meetings. His second salvo of running as the next president will cause the creation of the evaluation committee headed by the CHEd. Before he became as president, Macaballug held a Full Professor III item at the same time Campus Executive Director at Isabela State University – Cabagan Campus.
